Imagelink Overview

Monday, June 6th, 2005

Imagelink is a way of communicating in realtime. Imagelink loads an image from an update into the background of a shared whiteboard allowing all users who are logged in and looking at the same piece of content to see each others pointer, mark up the image with lines and text, and to save the markup as a Visual Comment. Imagelink can be used with one person to make visual comments or with two or more people during a phone conversation to make discussion easier as well as being able to save any markup made while talking for later refernce as a Visual Comment.

To use Imagelink you need the Flash Player plugin for your browser from Macromedia

Imagelink communicates on port 1935 with fallback to 443, if you are having trouble using Imagelink you can test your ports here: Macromedia Port Test
